VSRA and RARC Grants, Scholarships, and Awards

We wanted you to be aware of upcoming dates to apply to nominate or be nominated for awards, grants, or scholarships from VSRA or RARC.  You won’t want to miss out so please make sure you check them out soon!

Foundation Grant for Community Service – $200 – $1000 – Due December 16

VSRA Writing Project – up to $700 – Due December 15

Teacher Research Grant – up to $700 – Due December 16

Graduate Student Research Grant – up to $500 – Due December 16

VSRA Teachers as Readers Grant – up to $150 – Due December 15

Adult Intergenerational Literacy Project Award – Due December 15

James D. Mullins Leadership Award for Administrators – Due December 16

International Scholarship Award – Due December 15

VSRA Student (undergraduate and graduate) Scholarships – 4 at $500 each – Due December 15

Carmelita K. Williams Graduate Student Scholarship Award – up to $2500 – Due December 15 

The following are from RARC:

Teachers as Readers Grant – 2 @ up to $250 each – completed during the 2015 – 2016 school year – Due January 15

Parents and Reading – you may nominate your school for a Parents and Reading program hosted in the spring of 2015 (value approximately $300) – Due January 15

Reading Teacher of the Year – you can nominate an outstanding reading teacher who teaches reading a minimum of 1/3 of the day and was/is a member of VSRA/RARC in 2014 – 2015 and 2015 – 2016 – Due in March and announced at the RARC Spring Celebration in April/May
