We are looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow (4/12) afternoon for our spring conference at Chesterfield Tech Center @Hull. The address is 13900 Hull Street Road Midlothian, Virginia 23112. When parking, use entrance 20 in the rear of the building. Doors will open at 4:30. Beth Estill will begin speaking on strategies for teaching comprehension using fictional text at 5:15. Beth has several handouts that will soon be available for download using these links: RARC spring 2016 part1 and RARC Spring Conference Part 2. If you are planning to attend but haven’t yet registered, please consider following this link so that we will be well-prepared for your arrival.
If you are planning to attend our author dinner with Gigi Amateau, you may submit your money and forms to Joanie Bache at the registration desk. In addition to meeting with Gigi Amateau, we will also be honoring our nominees for Reading Teacher of the Year. If one of these wonderful candidates is a friend or colleague of yours, please share the dinner information with your schools. I am certain there are many non-members of RARC who would still love to come out to show their support for these well-loved, highly accomplished individuals.
